On
March 22, 2025, we hosted our
3rd Annual Happenstence Crawfish Boil right here in
Austin, TX—and it was our biggest turnout yet. With over
50 guests,
100+ pounds of crawfish, and more than
20 gallons of beer poured, it was the perfect way to kick off the spring season with the Happenstence community.
The event brought together neighbors, friends, craft beer lovers, and spice chasers for an afternoon of great food, live music, and good conversation.

The Food: Over 100 Pounds of Louisiana Crawfish
Guests feasted on Louisiana-style crawfish seasoned and boiled with a full spread of classic fixings: corn, potatoes, mushrooms, and sausage. Whether you were elbow-deep in spicy crawfish or just there for a cold beer and good company, it was the kind of feast that defines spring gatherings in Central Texas.
The Beer: Three Brews on the House
We kept the taps flowing all afternoon with two Happenstence favorites and a local beer that is very popular in Austin:
- Our smooth, malty German Schwarzbier (Dark Lager)
- The crisp and citrusy Happenstence American IPA
- Zilker Brewing's sessionable Parks & Rec Pale Ale
Both were complimentary for all guests, whether you bought crawfish or just came to hang out. The beer is really at the center of it all, where we at Happenstence can craft something wonderful to share with others! The Schwarzbier is one of our favorites and we plan to write a blog on it very soon, because not many people get the chance to try it.
The Music: Southern Harmony Live at 2 PM
Kicking off at 2 PM, the Southern Harmony Band brought the perfect vibe to the afternoon, blending southern rock and soul that had folks sticking around long after their plates were empty. It’s safe to say the live set made the backyard boil feel more like a backyard festival filled with good vibes,

Exclusive Merch Drop: Lone Ranger Tees
We also dropped our exclusive $20 Lone Ranger Tee, available only at the event. If you missed your chance to grab one, they are still on sale!
